“It’s creamy deliciousness that tastes like it should be bad for you… but it’s healthy and really easy to make!” —quote by Josh

It’s a healthy pudding-like snack made out of chia seeds and coconut milk. When mixed together, the coconut milk is absorbed by the chia seed and becomes gel-like in texture.
PRO TIP:
Since the coconut cream tends to gather on one side of the can, it can be hard get out all the creamy goodness without scraping it out. To avoid the extra work and hassle, just shake the can rigorously like a crazy person for about 5 seconds before opening the can. All the thick creamy bits should pour out nicely after that.
I buy seeds from “Mumm’s Sprouting Seeds” – http://sprouting.com/
Here’s their chia seed page:

Here’s a breakdown of the ordering options from Mumm’s, how many batches you can make with each order and how much it would cost:
| AMOUNT | PRICE | PRICE/BATCH | BATCHES/ORDER |
| 100g | $4.97 | $4.14 | 1.2 |
| 1kg | $15.97 | $1.33 | 12 |
| 5kg | $59.49 | $1.00 | 60 |
We’ve tried a variety of brands and Aroy-D seems to be the best.
A good price for them is about $1.20 or so I think.
We got two trays of cans when they were on sale at T&T.
Asian grocery stores tend to have them at decent prices.

THE TEXTURE:
Chia seeds are a mucilaginous type of seed, which means they absorb up to 12 times their weight in liquid when soaked and turn that liquid into a jelly coating which gives them that distinct gel texture.
NUTRITION:
Chia seeds are a rich source of the Daily value of the B vitamins thiamine and niacin, and are a rich source of the dietary minerals calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, and zinc. Chia seeds are also a good source riboflavin and folate.
Chia seeds were an important food for the ancient Aztecs and Mayans. “Chia” is the ancient Mayan word for “strength” and they prized them for their ability to provide sustainable energy.
FUN FACT:
About 500,000 chia pets a year are sold in the US
Enjoy!
